Practice: Frenchie, Shane, Karen, Kim, Doug, Theresa, Dena*, Buster, John, Dierdre, Tanya, and Tina (heckling/secretarial duties)

Today was, in my opinion, a good practice day. We picked up another girl dawg (yAy!) Dena joined the team as a welcome addition. Shane presented the team with the SMASL rules, which I have posted on the site's "TEAM FORUM". By the way, please click on that menu button and sign up there for that forum. Information will be posted there and you can all post to each other. Everyone in attendance today signed the SMASL Waiver. Anyone who didn't get to make practice, will have to sign that waiver before the game on Friday, Sept 19. The team schedule has also been posted on the "SCHEDULE" menu button. I will update wins/losses there. I forgot my digital camera, and the cell phone pictures weren't good enough for me. SO, I will bring the camera to the game Friday, but I anticipate that I will be busy with scoring.

PLEASE REMEMBER: $25 from each player to repay Shane the league dues and any extra will go toward new balls. All monies will be kept by me in an envelope and expenditures will be noted and receipts kept for accurate bookkeeping.

You guys looked good out there in practice today. Karen fell quite a few times. She said practice was over when she fell... but you kept on practicing anyway! Shane did a great job pitching, and Buster scared the poop outta him, well, he said he had to change his drawers. Remember to wear your cup Shane! Theresa had a hard time hitting the ball until I told her to imagine that it was Cramey's head flying toward her... watch out! That girl can hit now! Lil' Kim caught some great passes... even when they were coming from her man. John, as usual, was all game, and with great enthusiasm, went for all the balls that came his way! (I'm not going there - but some will!) I think Tanya got bored, because I watched her watching some balls rolling by her without a care. And Theresa got surprised when she got sitting on her butt on the field. Karen was hitting the ball very well, and she and French had a nice play you had to see to believe with catching one ball that had a mind of it's own. Doug is a solid hitter, so is John and Tanya. Dierdre was looking alive! And the newest dawgette was getting back in the game. She's used to another kind of game, but I bet in no time she'll have the boys chasing the balls down.

I left early, but not too long before practice was over. Did Karen fall AGAIN? I will see you guys on Friday night. Please remember to bring me money! But, most importantly, bring your best game!
